This year in 2021, Mardi Gras is Tuesday, February 16! Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday,” or Shrove Tuesday. The day before Ash Wednesday, it marks the start of the Christian season of Lent. Mardi Gras is the feast day before the Christian fast in anticipation of Easter.
New Orleans is the place to be for Mardi Gras although it’s celebrated all over the world!
